EIGHTH WONDER : MICHAEL PHELPS TAKES HOME HIS 8TH GOLD MEDAL AT THE BEIJING OLYMPICS !
TOTALLY PHENOMENAL !

Its a record 8 GOLD medals in a SINGLE Olympics surpassing Spitz's previous record of 7.

He was given special recognition and an award to recognise his achievements. Truely the Games's icon.

Heres an interesting fact. China has 27 GOLDS now, USA has 17 , Germany has 9, Australia has 8 and Korea has 7 as of now. THE table's top 5 countries.
Michael PHELPS has MORE GOLD MEDALS than countries like KOREA, RUSSIA, JAPAN, BRITAIN.

IF PHELPS WERE A COUNTRY, HE WILL BE n.o. 5 on the table now tie with Australia on number of GOLDS. Amazing what one man can do isn't it.

The other hero in the Olympics is Usian Bolt of Jamanica who won the 100m dash with a new world record. He totally owned the rest with a wide gap btw him and 2nd.
after the race the crowd went wild and he received many kisses and hugs from the spectators.
