Man attempts to murder CS rival

A French gamer has been jailed after hunting down and stabbing a man who killed his character in an online game.

Julien Barreaux, 20, spent seven months tracking down the rival player who killed his avatar in a virtual reality knife fight in the game Counter-Strike, the Telegraph newspaper reports.

He eventually found his victim, named only as Mikhael, living several kilometres from his own home in the town of Cambria, in northern France.

Police told a local court Barreaux went to the man's home and stabbed him in the chest when he answered the door.

His victim barely survived the attack, with the blade of the kitchen knife missing his heart by just centimetres.

"Barreaux was arrested within the hour and told us he had wanted to see his rival wiped out for killing off his character," the Telegraph quoted a police prosecutor as saying.

The fanatic gamer was sentenced to two years in jail for causing grievous bodily harm and ordered to take anger management classes.

Judge Alexiane Potel described Barreaux as a "menace to society".

"I am frankly terrified of the disproportionate reaction you could have if someone looked at you the wrong way in the street," she said.

REVIEWS ON TOP FIRST PERSON SHOOTER (FPS) GAMES>>>

BLACKSHOT

Blackshot is developed by Korean Company Vertigo Games for Windows PCs. It is a MMOFPS game which is free. It is first released in 2009 both in Korea and SEA. The Japan version should be up by now and the Europe version sometime this year. It is playable on GARENA in singapore and is also featured in the Singapore WCG Nationals.

Blackshot is a game which is easy to pick up. It has knief, SMGs, rifles, Snipers, pistols and grenades like any other games but no Bazooka, vehicles nor nightvision. Maps are all daytime and theres flag capture, detonation, deathmatch and bunker def maps. One thing I like about Korean FPS is that theres overnades which I dun see in CS. Grenades here are more powerful than CS and can be thrown over buildings. And of course theres flashbangs, spike nades and EMP nades. AWP snipers are sill 1 shot kill but pro snipers use the M24 sniper in tournaments as theres a QUICKSNIPE technique and a faster re-shoot time as compared to the AWP. This game is constantly gaining fanbase in SG and is approved as a WCG game in SG. I myself am playing this game under my nick RoyaleFlush. My friends chet, mic, mcc, dan, kw are playing it too as well as my bro =) The game operates on a rank system. More bonus points= higher rank.

Alliance of Valiant Arms (AVA)

Another Korean made FPS by Redduck. Released in Korea in 2007 it already made headway in korea. Its international release was in 2009. It is playable free in Singapore through ijji servers.

Assault rifles and Sub-machine guns may have laser sights and scopes if they have a Picatinny rail system. Certain weapons also need to be converted to support rails, for a small cost. Snipers can have scopes with higher levels of zoom. New attachments, and various types of equipment are expanded upon are added during monthly updates.

+Excellent weapon customization options. +Unique switchable class system. +Very polished and balanced gameplay.+Unique achievement system (Medals / Badges). +Great interface. Downside is that theres few maps. If you like great graphics (e.g. burning cars on the streets) you will like this. Theres tanks in this game too as well as nightvision for night/dark maps.

Sudden Attack (SA)

Though this game is not so good on graphics it has spawned one of Korea's most revered snipers Kim Kyung Jin (as seen in the video). His unexplainable reaction time has left ppl stunned.

Korea made by GameHi Company. Published by Asiasoft in SEA. It was released in Korea in 2004 which makes this one of the pioneer korean FPS.

+Fast-paced, smooth gameplay. +Plenty of maps. +Numerous game modes. +First game of its kind. +Not too demanding on the PC. Downside is that theres few weapons and character customisation. In tournaments I have seen incredible overnades (e.g. ppl stacking and a guy runs over them and jumps to throw a nade over a building killing 2 enemies). If you like sniping and pin-point nading but dun mind the low graphics quality then this game is for you. I used to play SA too but eventually switched over to Blackshot cuz my sniping isnt pro enough for the game lol.

Modern Warfare 2

This game is developed by Infinity Ward has has become one of the best sellers of all time so I had to include this. It has big name publishers like Activision and Square Enix (Japan)[think Final Fantasy]. It is from the Call of Duty series. Theres campaign, cooperative and multiplayer modes.

The platform is amazing as it is playable on PS3, XBOX 360 PC ... etc (i think blackberry and DS also can play this game). On the visual side of things, Modern Warfare 2 is an obvious step up over Call of Duty 4 and World at War, with a stronger emphasis on complex terrain in the environments, weather effects, destructible objects, and the overall sense of action and chaos that comes with so many visual improvements. This is only complemented further by the increased attention to sound design, with the effects of many returning weapons being re-recorded,even more in-level chatter amongst your allies, and a truly captivating score by Hans Zimmer which builds based on specific in-game moments. Modern Warfare 2 feels like an action James Bond movie.

One of the larger visual changes to the game's heads-up display this time around is the blood splatter system. In previous Call of Duty offerings you'd get damaged, the screen would start to shade red, and you'd be required to seek cover before your vision returned to normal. Modern Warfare 2 employs a new system, actually having a thicker blood layer added to up the realism.

You may have thought you were buying Modern Warfare 2 simply for the competitive multiplayer or single-player campaign alone, but mark my words; you will be pulled in by Spec Ops, and when it's all said and done you'll be begging for more. I don't have this but my cousin plays it and I must say it looks pretty impressive. The only downside is that it isn't free =X

Counter Strike

This is the mother of all FPS I believe. Developed by Vavle and playable on Windows and Mac OS. Unlike most games this game starts with both teams wielding pistols and then eventually buy other items and weapons.

Just about the only aspect of this game that we could make negative comments about is the sound. Sure, the realistic guns sounds are spot on, we just wish the same amount of attention to detail was given to the rest of the sound in the game. Some levels have lighting and thunder. When the thunder crashes it sounds a little wimpy. We were hoping for some deeper bass and clearer sounding claps from the lightning. In most of the level the user can go inside or out side of buildings, the sound of their footsteps should also change to reflect what type of surface they are walking on. The sound of footsteps getting closer and closer could also have been improved. As it stands now, it's hard to tell how far down the hallway or street a bad guy is from you by sound alone.

It costs about $30 now i think but if you like playing with many ppl and have never heard of CS (i dunno why) then you should try this out.

Crysis 2 (TO BE RELEASED IN 2010)

To be released in 2010 developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts. Crysis 1 is in a jungle environment which reminds me of outfield cuz my army outfield environment is visually= to the in-game jungle environment. Even the plants have moving shadows due to the overhead sun lol. And theres even dirt tracks made when you run.

Crysis 2 is set in New York City. Similar to its predecessor, Crysis 2 will provide freedom to customize weaponry and abilities. Crytek wanted to avoid making another game set in a jungle environment, as were Far Cry and Crysis; New York City has been dubbed an "urban jungle". The urban atmosphere offers more options in how to progress and plan attacks. Players will be able to navigate between floors and buildings, as well as destroy cityscape.The Sandbox is back for all 3 systems PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

This game is available for multiplayer and is to be released by end 2010- successor to Crysis 1 and Crysis Warhead =)

This post is filled with spoilers for this week's Survivor Ep 9: Tastes like Chicken

Russell Hantz did a shocker tonight. He found a second immunity idol without any clues. How cool is that. And best of all he turned it all against the Galu members causing a blindside of Kelly.
Well Kelly is sort of my favourite gal there in this game cuz shes just the kind of gal who keeps tensions low, try to not step on anyone's feet and is cool and open to everything.
But a blindside is a blindside.
You never know wats coming for you.
Although I kinda feel for Kelly after watching it cuz she didn't deserve to go, I kinda thought that Russell was really smart this time. Hes really playing the game.
Next Ep of Survivor will be w/o Kelly but it will be more interesting with Russell around always.
I dunno why but I am kinda rooting for Russell now.
I really wish Foa Foa go all the way now.
I love to see an underestimated Foa Foa (underdog) tribe produce such a dark horse in this game.

Ponderosa

Few people have heard of wat the word "PONDEROSA" means:
Its the place where eliminated castaways go.
It only consists of people in the "jury".
It is heaven.

This video shows Kelly being brought to Ponderosa after her elimination where she was comforted by Erik. Perhaps fate brought both of them together? Part 2 of the vid shows Erik flirting with her in the resort, hugging her on the beach and sleeping on the same bed.

Oh if I was Erik I would prob have no regrets being eliminted b4 Kelly. In fact I think Erik and Kelly seem somewat like a couple <3.

Can't wait for next week =)

Well I guess I havn't blogged about Dota before in my pervious posts so let this be my maiden Dota post =)
I played 3 games with my non-army friends against my army friends within these 1/2 months including 2 games last nite and these are my thoughts about it:

Comments: Yes we won 4v5 but there was also complaints that we took Razor's items when he left. It was quite a balanced game frankly. I remember being very careful early game as I was laning with centaur and cm. Seriously when Razor left I thought we might have lost given the sentinel had all 5 stunner/disable heroes. Late game I went all out in ganks to rush some heroes and sometimes dying in the process. In the end it was teamwork that won over the numbers. dennis and silver performed exceptionally well in ganks. storm did his part as a carry too. For the sentinel I thought that panda and centaur did well too.

Comments: This time I pleaded with the public PA to not leave the game midway so we could have a 5v5 all the way. The ganks in his game were quite even. You might have thought that we would go for dp every time there was a gank but no we went for pl instead. I laned with pl and sk and to be frank I had quite an easy time farming. I took this as a learning session making the chance to use a hero which my army frens said to be cmi in my hands and it paid dividends. The most memorable moment for me is the time there was a gank at the top lane and my team was losing. I waved into the side shop and juked into the trees and luckily dp's ghosts didn't managed to spot me in the trees. I was expecting a carrion wave to kill me in the trees as I wasn't morphing strength fast enough. Guess what, the wave didn't come and I merely bought a scroll from the side shop and tele back to base. dennis, silver and storm were great this match. I also did my part in post ganks, stunning the lovable lone druid bear they all love for a little more gold- and pls it was their request to kill it.

Comments: This time we had 5 frens tgt playing. Jan was replacing Lord who couldn't garena due to either family or smu commitments. Jan's vs was a more than able sub for Lord. I initially thought that Hehe was gonna use SF cuz hes quite good at it but his sa wasn't that bad either. I again used a hero my frens said to be cmi in my hands cause I wanted to learn new stuff and improve my play. The game was over by mid cuz Jan had uncountable killing sprees and panda was afk for a few mins. I rarely appeared in ganks and was busy farming for a bkb to add onto my dagger cuz tide was countering my ulti and every time I blinked in with epicentre I would be stunned like 1 screen away from the gank and my ulti was wasted. And yes I used sandstorm to farm. My score wasn't impressive as I had a 2/2/5 only cuz by the time I had farmed my core bkb and dagger my team was already rampaging the sentinel's base and I only went in to assist them a few kills. Nevertheless theres nothing wrong with learning to improve a hero I am not good at and I am glad I didn't feed in the 2 games yesterday.

To end off I would like to thank my frens for the 3 good games we
had and special thanks to my dota buddies who had to put up with my nubbiness at times to continue guiding me.
I don't play dota unless my buddies play along with me cuz I believe that dota is a game of teamwork and my "shifus" have shown plenty of it =)

SURVIVOR SAMOA ROCKS !

I have a GREAT feeling that this season of SURVIVOR is gonna rock big time and heres why:

EVIL HAS A NEW NAME called Russell.Hantz. The owner of a multi-million oil company is here to SABOTAGE his tribe which includes secretly waking up at night to pour away all his tribe's canteen and even burning his best buddy's socks! WTF! Hes probably the most evil guy on survivor eva. Even the host says hes evil through and through.
THE DEVIL HAS THE HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOL. And the worst thing is he (Russell.Hantz) found it without any clues!
THERE IS NO 1 GUY OUT THERE OWNING EVERY IMMUNITY CHALLENGE. In short, it means the game is balanced.
3 EPISOPES and 4 ppl are gone. Probably the fastest elimination eva.
THE FOA FOA TRIBE is self-destructing no thanks to Russell.Hantz.
The old folks are out. Currently the oldest female there is a former MARINE.
Eye-candies aplenty.
Scenery is great! The waves are really big. Its cooler than Hawaii. I want to go there!
First time in survivor history a guy was kicked out of a challenge. Ben got too physical.

Car Analysis

Many people have long debated if the Mitsubishi lancer or the Subaru Impreza is better. Well heres an interesting video by Top Gear BBC test driving this 2 cars.

Well the vid is probably right since one costs 7,000 pounds more expensive than the other.
I drove a Mit Lancer for my driving test(not a Lancer Evo 10)and I've gotta say that the tuning of the car for turns is pretty good. Then again I don't really feel as comfortable driving the Mit Lancer as compared to my family's Toyota Altis (besides the manual-auto diff)although I have more control with the lancer.

Well enough said, if I have the money in future and is looking for a car not as ex as a ferrari or lambo and have a little more horsepwr than the evo 10, I would buy a Roush Mustang or if I wanted something cheaper and more authentic and with more history, a Mustang GT 300 (which is prob cheaper than the 300 horsepwr Evo 10 ).

Nothing beats the cool noise a GT 300 makes haha.

Freaky Friday is a GODLIKE NICE movie

Saw it on CH5 last friday. Thought it was possibly the best comedy eva. 11/10 stars =)

"Overheard" the movie was nice.

Directed by the director of INFERNAL AFFAIRS Alan Mak, this movie is tense and emotional. Not to mention all the A-LIST stars- Daniel Wu, Louis Koo, Grace Huang and Sean Lau Ching Wan. Most of Protege's stars are inside.

1)Taylor Swift appears on CSI yay! Maybe I should switch to watching CSI. How could I miss such a big show.
2)Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince isn't tat great. Watched it with Mei Feng and pottermaniacs dan and chet who are more like half-blood-prince-critics instead of fans.
3)Celebrated Pris and pear post-bday at some karaoke lols.
4)Met up with dota buddies storm and den for dota and have to say they are damm pro teammates. We won like 2/3 matches as the scourge. Rarely does the scourge side wins rite.
5)HSC 4e3 class gathering on Friday (the day i had flu lol) but i still attended and it was for harrison's bday at Fish&Co. =)
6)Mentioning of harrison, thank you for the notes.
7)Booking in for combat shoot tml although i dunno wats combat shoot about lolz.

WCG 2009 dota finals at Suntec city

[video (s'pore dota finals 2009 team xtc vs team axis) comment:EPIC! With mega creeps wacking away at the sentinel's final lifelines, they staged a backdoor into the scourge's wrecked base to land the final hits on a 100hp throne. It all went down to the wire...a diff of 25hp won it all.]

I went down to suntec last weekend with dan and kimwee. Watched both the CAPL and asian dota finals which Ice.Pro and Vietnam won respectively.
It was a worthwhile trip as the atmosphere was exhilarating with ppl cheering for their teams and even commentary.
There were close battles, narrow escapes, team sacrifices and skilled accuracy to make it all the more a must-go-must-watch event.
I am surely going next year =)

Went to Courts yesterday and saw this touchscreen desktop at $1999 by HP. It looks real cool. Tech has certainly reached new heights.

The base spec starts at a 2GHz Core 2 Duo with integrated graphics, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive. Digging a little deeper into your wallet scores you a peppier processor backed by a GeForce 9300M GS video card, a 500GB hard disk and a digital TV tuner or turning the TouchSmart into a natty PVR. Wth rite.

There are also fingerprint security laptops around lol. Quite cool too. Now no one can hack passwords on notebooks le.
Besides that I also bought 2 shirts while shopping yesterday =)

America has voted Danny off Idol, leaving the final 2 Kris Allen and Adam Lambert separated by only 1 million votes.
Its gonna be down to the wire this season as voters may vote for the underdog Kris instead of the more vocally talented Adam because he is gay lol.
Cut to the chase, heres my prediction:

Winner: Adam Lambert

Hes the most vocally talented of all and often ends his songs on a high-note literally =) Highly tipped by the judges to win, he was expected to " sail through to the finals" as Simon puts it but this week Kris beat him by only a million votes. No gay has won Idol b4, even Clay Aiken didn't but this year could be different.

Runner-up: Kris Allen

Hes a young but married high sch student. Hes not a vocal powerhouse and doesn't "scream" during performances. Before his last performance last nite Simon had "written him off" but his final performance swung the votes in this favor. He had the top number of votes last nite beating Adam by only a million votes. I think that he will end up 2nd but his album sales would beat Adam's.

Other random stuff updates:

Went L4D lanning last week with Chet and Dan and managed to complete "No Mercy" advanced mode OMG LOL FTW.
Sang K-box with Xiang Ling for like 3 hrs lol. She can apply for Singapore Idol or campus superstar already lol. Even tpjc Idol Asri (who is from my class btw) can't sing as smooth as her wth.
Went for Mother's Day dinner and met my cousins who are all grown up and looking pretty. And omg shes only sec 3 and almost my height?! 1.73 at sec 3?! thats effing tall larx! she sld go be a model alreadi since she has hebe looks too.
Saw Iris at my hse carpark, its been a long time since I met her... accidentaly during sec 2 lol.
Watched Angels and Demons. Its a GRE8T show =) Makes me wanna read the book.

In fact I still dunno how I got the 32 pts when I DID NOT :

Will probably be at Vivo again next weekend for class outing at Sentosa :)

Last night I went to meet up with Chet to play L4D at the new L4D LAN at Elias lol.

Came back from LAN last nite to see a unknown youth 3rd-string team Arsenal FC beat a main team Portsmouth FC 3-0 lol. Its almost equivalent to seeing S'pore Under 16 vs SAF FC lols?!

Celebrated daniel birthday with the movie Sniper and some arcading. Can't contact Chet for 2 weeks already cuz he currently seems to be on another planet at the moment.
Theres some class outing meeting going on facebook for the past week while i was in ops.
Seems its gonna be held like 1 week after my TP lol.

And for the moment I am Pokering online again =)

4 Day Break

I am having a 4 day break before another outfield next week. Just ended 1 outfield then comes another. This week during my free time I have been playing online card games like the above poker and viwawa "tai tee" or just plain watching taiwan TV or watching ghost whisperer or survivor or watching Full House online=)

Well since I didn't updat last week I shall do a double update. Last week me zhexi junhui and hanteng went to watch Shinjuku incident when it just opened and it was at least 4/5 stars.
I think Daniel Wu acted very well btw and on a random side note, Fan Bingbing is chio=)

Bought new adidas originals shoes (not for street soccer btw) and is probably the first non-black/brown/blue shoe I bought. Went for driving this sunday and realised its 18 more days to my traffic police driving prac test!
Might go catch a movie later sniper or fast&furious to relieve some pre and post outfield stress=)

Went to the cathay last nite with chet and dan to eat and play lan at paradis. Supposed to meet up with michel but hes too tired.
Saw Joshua Ang at Cathay with his gf again. Wonder wats so attractive about the movies now?

Which annoyingly means no class outing AGAIN or meet-up with the twins. Forever postponed cuz of army s***. It is such a burden to me that sometimes I wished that I had gone for the lifeguard selection and spend my 2 yrs as a SAF lifeguard lols. -.-

Went for driving today and the most common mistake I made was 1-legged driving. One foot on the clutch and none on the gas or brake lol! (and ya the car can move by only controlling clutch). Saw an accident while driving 2day. A cdc learner car collided into a black mitsubishi lancer (which is the same type as wat i m driving). -_-"

Watched that movie last night with chet and dan at cathay cuz chet booking in 2day and dan was locked out lolz.
Decent family movie =)

The "kids" in the movie AnnaSophia Robb & Alexander Ludwig were fun to watch.

A.Robb is quite cute though. Her filmography includes Winn-Dixie, Charlie and choco factory, Jumper, the Reaping, Sleepwalking and Bridge to Terabithia.

Its block leave week= slacking time =)
Meet Chet and Dan last weekend for a horror show at Cathay titled "Coming Soon" from Shutter producers. A so-so horror only.
Thereafter I went for class-outing dinner at Bedok with Dan and Chet went for Sakae.
Shihui, amanda, kelly, weien and terence were there before the whole gene gang of real e3 soccer players harrison nyukqiang gab marcel etcetcetc... came.
Had a nice chat there with the gals who just ended poly and shihui who was in fass. weien and terence were mostly in their own world lols... but they entertained us with news about wu chun peeing into a river in Brunei wtf.
Amanda had a nice story about her trip to japan which was more intriguing then shopping-fun.
Thereafter we exchanged our new hp n.o.s and gossiped a bit about clarice gracia shihui MIA lol.

This week has been an anti-sports week for me except for the occasional vids i watch after champions league soccer... and swimming with hi leonard and zhexi yesterday.

Well during the last few days before leave, i played <Left 4 Dead> with Zhexi, Junhui and Sgt Vincent. First time playing it at LAN shop. Its real fun.
I present to you the OFFICIAL GAME OF THE YEAR 2008... Left 4 Dead...

Its actually a 8 player game with 4 ppl playing as survivors and the other 4 as zombies. Counter-strike controls.

Had a rather nice time on Sat when chet and I wanted to watch Hes not that into u (but didn't watch lol) and instead joined Xiang Lin and Joanne at K-box one floor up.
It was nice of them to invite us there =) they were like studying for their phamaceutical exams and singing at the same time lols. Hope they do well for their end-of-sem exams and get homozygous A's.

Saw Kelly Pan Jia Li there too. Shes quite short ^^

Driving
Had 7a.m. driving on Sunday. Dunno why damm "ham ji' 2day. Car stall NOT becuz i never control clutch but becuz I keep on braking lols... and 2day I also drive damm slow wth. But nevertheless my parallel, perpenticular parkings, reversing and crank course still ok. My slope still got a slight problem and its not about stopping on slope and moving off... its about going downslope lols (cuz partly I keep braking/overbraked).

watched on 12-02-09 with my battery at Marina Square GV.

We had lunch (a buffet) at Yuki n Yaki as sponsored by the batallion and our BC being a battery gathering/outing to celebrate ORD personnels achievements.
Lunch was nice ... we get to cook ice-cream =)
However the best part was still the movie Valkyrie which I thought was comparable to Titanic standards. I would rate it 6 out of 5 stars yea.
Its better than Spiderman, Batman, Ironman, 300, Red cliff I would say.
I hardly catch such impressive movies in cinemas nowadays.
In fact I think we went to the same cinema where I watched Cloverfied lol.
Nevertheless, its a must Watch!

Tom Cruise and his gene gang of supporting actors deserve oscars lol... and the director too!
Impressive =)

Just returned from field camp and is still very much in need of a break. Had my 1st circuit driving this morning at 7a.m. Theres early book-in today at 8.45pm for Live missile handling tml sian.
Next week will be better =)
Nevertheless although this is my rest week I shall update on soccer since watching Football Asia on CH5 gave me the urge to do so. =)

I havn't worn this shirt for quite a while le. Its the soccer jersey I wore for my CCA SJAB ZONAL soccer competition when I was sec 3 in Hai Sing (HSC).

Its from tampines rovers if i rmb carefully cuz we had a coach who was somewhat related to the tampines rovers football club.

I still rmb the matches though...

Well during the weekend my bros downloaded Trinity Gunz, an adapt from ijji Gunz and international Gunz.
Cuz it doesn't lag on my poor Acer notebook, I decided to try it by creating a charac named Lin Chiling.

Ok now my chinese lunar new year resolution is to watch Red Cliff 1 & 2 lol [heard its Amazingly Awesome from frens who watched it partly becuz it cost $80m and is the highest costly asian production] ... and Guessx3 and Supermatch every friday and sat nite =) They always keep me entertained.

EDEN LAKE MOVIE REVIEWS (spoiler alert)

Watched Eden Lake yesterday at Cathay with chet b4 he met up with Xiang Ling. Didn't know wat the movie was about at all when we bought the tickets LOL.
Anyway who would think that a movie entitiled Eden Lake whould be so disturbing. Its like Wolf Creek lo LOL.
Its a little less gory as compared to saw but its more sick and disturbing becuz i dunno why the director put LITTLE KIDS TO ACT IN SUCH A MOVIE.
In fact the movie was actually disturbing cuz the acting were so real (yep they won awards for tat).
Its mentally sick becuz in the movie:

The 12 year old kids were forced to stab a guy using somethings like a sog or army knife
de-tongue him (if theres such a word)
slash a dog
set a schoolboy on fire
bash a kid to death
slightly behead another 12 year old and let him bleed to death
crash a car into a young girl
do all sorts of sick things to the main charac

And after it all, you feel that actually those 12 year old kids should actually die. Twisted mindset. The movie actually reminds me of field camp. Argh.

Watch it if you think that killing adults is so uninteresting and maybe kids will be an alternative lol.

Morning of last sunday I had driving lessons. Afternoon I went Dan's hse for some network 21 presentation by him and co. Thereafter me chet pris and pearlin went rollerblading at pasir ris park. My 1st time blading so its quite an experience =) Happened to see my camp's Lt Shou Qun there cycling too. Booked-out on Tues for my medical appointment at CGH to see a skin specialist. Thus its a 3 month excuse camo for me YAY!!! I am beginning to love medical appointments and book-outs even if it means missing sports & games in camp =x hahas... Anyway i will be back next week for sports and games on tues so ya... hurray!

Watched 速配男女 Supermatch on chU friday night. I am like so addicted to that show le. Its damm interesting to see how strangers get about in a 4 guy 3 gal date =)
Downloaded Skype and have yet to try it out for fun. =X

I HATE GUARD DUTY so our camp should seriously make the FDS Regimental Police do it like other camps do!!! Why am I a Gunner/Driver/Signaller/Regimental Police when my vocation states that I am just supposed to be an Air Defence Weapon Operator?! They should ****ing increase my pay LOLz (and give us risk pay $50 every month)! Lolz i am so becoming a 4-in-1 vocation soldier. Should have just applied for lifeguard vocation during BMT sianz =X

Watched Yes Man TWICE yesterday LOL. Went out in the afternoon to watch it with my Uncle at Plaza Sing. At night went out again to watch the same movie thanks to a treat by chet and dan at downtown. It was a damm nice comedy probably the best of 2008. Its so gd that the cinema just can't keep quiet LOL. Oh ya, saw Joshua Ang and his gf at downtown watching the midnight Yes Man movie too LOL. He still looks the same (even if hes in NS?) and his gf is chio but heavily make-uped.

Went on a shopping spree yesterday and today =)

Bought new Adidas street soccer shoes to replace my Nike ones which was destroyed when I played at Kallang Cage last Friday :x

Besides that I also bought a shirt and beach wear pants which was on sale. spree~

Had dinner with Dan b4 meeting Chet. The long day ended at my house where we watched Zohan which was damm funni! =)
Thanks for all the care and concern my frens and camp commanders have shown me prior to my "spider bite" on my left cheek which is recovering well.

Well the rain just calls off any outdoor activities for today. Anyway this weekend has been a stay-home for me. I have been busy formatting my com, watching movies, playing with my bros and packing field pack items (nono not really for the upcoming outfield on the 1st week of dec but rather for the recall come JAN). I only left the house for my Driving Practical lessons and to get field pack items =(

I took some time off today to plan my DEC too. DEC is truely my FAV time of the year as HARI RAYA HAJI, CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR goes well with wat else but my BIRTHDAY! Miss hanging out with my frens who are busy taking exams and ns peeps! I miss NEW YEAR CLUBBING truckloads! Still rmb last year I was clubbing with Shina and frens during X'MAS @DXO yea... and countdown-ing with chet and all =)

GAME-ON (In case you are wondering why this pic looks familiar its becuz its AJC)

Well this week I shall blog about games cuz this is the first time my campmates went to LAN during nights out =) Btw the chambers LAN at yishun sux cuz counterstrike also can't play LAN and i couldn't even access my Gunz or Audition accounts =x In the end we had to settle for warcraft lol.

Games nowadays have gotten more realistic. Taking Need For Speed Carbon for example, the characters in it are real (as shown in the video below). Today while reading Michelle's blog, i realised that Tomb Raider's new sidekick character looks exactly like the girl herself in real life.

Registered for advance theory driving and provisional driving licence. (Btw I started my family car yesterday and tested driving forward, braking and reversing with no supervision hahas. Damm cool larx but Shhhs.)
Created another epl fantasy team (not for fun but) to seriously contest for the monthly champion. (which means my team will be planned carefully according to this month's epl matches)
Received LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE from curtin university. (but still wondering if i sld stay here or go over to aust)

DRIVE BY

This week has been busy for me in camp being occupied with AR and WITS.

Watched 2 movies in camp though, tropic thunder and 21.

On friday, Jun Hui and Zhi Xiang came to my house and we played Xbox games and watched Ghost Whisperer 3 at 10pm. It was fun playing with frens =)

Saturday I went to T2 with my cousins for dinner, Today I went to play a short badminton game with frens at Elias and to wish Edwin happy training in taiwan, Later I am going to my cousin's house to watch soccer.

Well outside camp, I am gonna register for Advance Driving theory test next week as well as get my Provisional Driving License. Which means I will be practically pre-occupied by driving lessons till i pass. Which also means I will be driving my family's Toyota around soon. Yea !

Well these few days I have not been updating cuz my laptop/notebook was down and finally it works at last.
I don't really remember everything that i did during this break. Let me recall...

Sent my friend Daniel off at Terminal 3 along with Chet and Daniel's family cuz hes going Australia (Rockhampton) for Exercise Wallaby.
Watched a damm nice and touching korean movie called Windstruck feat. Jeon Ji Hyun. If you know the movie My Sassy Girl, well, it is the sequel to Windstruck.
Had my first guard duty on a FRIDAY. tired.
Watched 'My Best Friend's Girl" during my nights off with my campmates. It was a damm funny movie besides the nudity (not that nudity is bad lol).
Watched "The kingdom" in camp. Nice terrorism movie with a fantastic action packed ending.
Went to my cousin's house and played FIFA 08 on his PS3. Graphics is superb.
Played field soccer for my battery's fun team. My role was a lone striker as we played with a 4-5-1 formation. Lost 11-0 hahas. Theres a reason why it was called a fun team.
Went for chemical defence course and experienced tear gas and LOTS OF CRYING~
Got a call from Geylang East swimming complex yesterday but was too tired to go on lifeguard duty cuz i just came back from guard duty. So many duties Haiz!

Hope i have a happy week ahead =)

GAMEMASTER TOURNAMENT FINALS AND GAMES CONVENTION : COSPLAY AT SUNTEC
Today I went with daniel to Pan Pacific Hotel for some american university convention where we learnt about Las Vegas University.
The highlight however was a games convention where we met Kim Wee and his cousin there and had a first look at games like Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Soul Calibur 4 and Fifa 09.
Played games like Soul Calibur 4 using Darth Vader and did some F1 driving on the simulator yeah !
Took pics with some cosplayers =D
There was naruto, death note, counterstrike and Dota cosplayers and many more etc etc.
At night went to meet chet for a game of pool and now i am currently at Dan's house.

This IPPT trial just one week before my POP saw me massively improve on 4 fronts only to flop at the last station. Alas the disappointment.

Then I dunno why at the last station...

2.4km run : 12.13+ (which i dun think is a pass)

F-up last station which realli disappoints me. Somemore I didn't walk and continuously ran the 2.4km. My captain louis ran with me the last 1km and although it was very encouraging i still went across the finishing line last in my course.

Sian. This week is just sian. Somemore this week we had live firing and i just missed marksman by 1 or 2 shots dammit. Why do I always shoot better at night?! Haiz.

LAST TRAIN HOME: ALAS THE HORROR

Went out with Chet and Daniel last night to eat at TM's Fish and Co. as well as to shop.

At around 10, we decided to watch MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN at Cathay.

We missed the opening of the movie and got into the cinema just in time to see a women's head being smashed and twisted and hammered by some butcher. Gory WTF.

Its M18 btw cuz theres a lot of blood and humans slaughtered like cattle. Watever you can think of is probably inside. Heads chopped off, hearts dug out and watever gory matter is in the movie.

You probably go like WTF! OMG! HOLYCRAP! 2/3 of the movie.

Theres some sex scenes though and some breast sightings throughout the movie but it didn't really matter anyway.

Doesn't MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN look so much like CREEP?!

Well the movie was all about killings until the last part where it turned into something like HELLGATE LONDON. Where theres suddenly some abandoned station where zombies reside.

And Yes I have HELLGATE london at home and its all about subways and london filled with zombies. Ad yes its quite SCARY esp if the zombies suddenly appear on yr screen like WTF!

Speaking about games I am also playing Audition SEA at home hahas. I am still noob but find me in Entry Channel if yr there =)

Speaking of games I also have games like Cueclub at home to horne my pool skills (it really helps) and also casino games (for the future).

I booked out this Friday to watch the Table Tennis Bronze Single match where Li Jiawei lost out to Guo Yue for Bronze. It was a pity she lost cuz her opponent was not in top form and she had comeback to level 2-2 before the match ended 4-2.

It was somewhat special to see her in PINK. I dun remember seeing her in PINK anytime b4.

China's athlete of the Games could just be one of their most expensive players (or maybe most expensive) called Guo Jingjing. She appeared on Singapore papers often throughout the games. She already had 2 Golds in DIVING and is expected to continue her gold haul just like Phelps. She is competing in 5 Diving events =)

She is also China's media darling given her relatively good looks and hot bod.

No wonder they spend so much on her. Shes already world n.o. 1 at 26 years old.

OK, i will end off my post with a random pic of Phelps.

Just yesterday I got injured at the Hip area becuz I ran into a incline pull-up bar at my camp while trying to dash for book-out in the rain.

Next week is pre-summex outfield depolyment at my camp's tarmac area. Haiz. Hope i recover soon.

Anyway I passed my M113 Driving alreadi. The result wasn't brilliant cuz my tank rolled back a little after I tried to move off from parking on the slope. Haiz. Luckily i passed with my 1st attempt though. My buddy initially failed but thankfully he passed after 2nd attempt.

Had my 1st nights out on Thursday. Wanted to play LAN but decided to go Yishun SAFFRA to play pool. We played 2 Vs 2 and I won both games teaming up with 1st-timers. Yishun SAFFRA is like damm resort larx. The entrance wrote Yishun SAFFRA Country Club somemore lols. Swimming pool there is like godlike CHIO can especially at night. Somemore there everywhere like hotel lobby feeling and theres even arcade there.

Finally after 48 years, Singapore are with a medal at the Olympics!
The Table Tennis Womens team's win over South Korea ensured that Singapore will come home with at least a Silver this year =D

The Heroine is Tian Wei Feng who was identified by the koreans as s'pore weakest link. However, she proved to be the decisive factor in the final "rubber match" or "crucial game" as she beat korea's Miyoung Park to help Singapore win 3-2.
This was the 1st time Li Jiawei cried after a game as she has lost her individual single and thought that the game was over.
However, no matter how strong the korean "choppers" are (as the spore papers called them due to their playing style), Singapore used their training sint in Japan to good use to emerge as winners.
They face China in the final for the Gold Medal Match.

Feng after her game, raises her hand in victory and rushes to hug her coach.

After 48 years since Singapore's last Olympic silver medal in 1960 Rome...

The wait is over.

This is Singapore's 1st Olympic Medal since gaining independence !

It was THE MOST exciting swimming finals in the Olympics as TEAM USA's Lezak made a final dash in the last few meters to beat TEAM FRANCE by about 0.008 seconds (or a hair's length). Thanks to Lezak, Phelps gets his 2nd gold at the Olympics (and his 2nd broken world record) and is continuing his gold rush for 8 golds. And plus, i think every swimming world record is broken in the Olympics hahas.

I aspire to spend my life after ORD in the BIG APPLE. In NYU new york city playground.

Currently I have been accepted into Curtin University in Perth, Australia but I feel like retaking A'levels and taking SAT test and aim for New York University.

I want not only to be overseas but also experience the metropolitan and open society of NYC.

When I think of Curtin or Perth, I think of parties, beaches, 4 seasons and Aussie Surfer dudes.

But when I think of NYU, I think of Wall street, new york exchange, rappers, brands, music, central park, statue of Liberty.

Whether or not to retake, I shall make my decision on Sept 11. The date when my course ends=D

I would be damm happy to see the letter of acceptance above yeah.

Dawn Yang just got accepted into NYU after her SMU degree. She entered NYU as a graduate. Hmm.... can consider too !

Talking about Dawn, I havn't started creating my xanga account so I can msg her. I should do that soon. Today I have spend my day with Edwin and Bryan at SAFFRA swimming, bowling and throwing darts.

Darts is cheap and cool =D Should try !

Its only a dollar a game of 48 throws and if you throw a score of 500 , they give you personal blue darts which Edwin has and you get to keep them. As far as I know, Alvin and Gabriel has them too.

As for swimming, I will want to try wakeboarding if I go to Curtin Uni in Australia after ORD so I can be an Aussie Surfer Dude wahahas.

Well I just booked out on friday.

Chet's flight is at 1am on Sat. Hope he receives my sms to him approx b4 he flies off to Taiwan.

This week is all about being alert, I was the IC for IGLA this week and had to stay on my toes all time.

One exciting thing this week is the street soccer we had on Tues. I found out that I:

Am really a dual footed shooter as my shots by my left leg is quite accurate.

Am a good goalkeeper (not becuz i say I am gd but rather the sergeats and my coursemates say so)

Can score a goalkick (yeah I scored a goalkick but it was disallowed becuz of half court rule)

Being the IC for the week, I managed to overcome my weakness which was... greeting officers XD

I am going for M113 driving course next week so I hope I have much fun there. Maybe I am meeting my course mates b4 book-in for some project stuff.

Hello. I am gonna book-in later. So lets see what I did this weekend.
Friday: booked out and watched ghost whisperer =D
Saturday: Went for breakfast with chet and daniel. Thereafter, I went to tpjc open hse with rahman, sammy, alvin and terrence. We went into this huge dome filled with stars and some sci centre ppl came into the dark dome to talk to us =D Of course we met our teachers and frens. We saw miss shah, delphine tan, kelvin ng, leow ling ling. sharon ro and mark chan. I myself went to the tpjc library to look for SAT books hahas. Btw our juniors are chio de can !
At nite, went to eat New York with chet and dan. Thereafter to dan's hse to watch Flags of our Fathers and Taiwan Guess Variety show.

Heres what I did for the past few days,
Sunday: Went to Daniel's house with Chet. Went to Pasir Ris park where we saw 1 of Mi Lu Bing members with his gf. Later we met up with Xiang Ling who is at NDP with Joanne to watch an excellent midnight movie 'Get Smart". Met michel on the way. Saw this Nike ad (Nike: take it to the next level) on cinema screen. Came back from camp yesterday evening. 18-DA is tough. With all the chin-up and push-up sets that we have to do, it is exceptionally tougher than other units. Commanders say it is used to train our back muscles for carrying manpack. So i hope to go IGLA =D

Last day in Air Force Sch and more

Well on the last day of Air Force Sch there was a solo presentation going on which everyone has to do. I think I did a great a great job by the fact that I actually planned it virtually and mentally to make it a nice fun presentation where everyone was having a hearty time. I couldn't believe it at first that I managed to make the whole auditorium laugh by the fact that those people presenting before me on friday had either somewhat solemn presentations or cracking "cold jokes" and ppl were falling asleep all over. When I went back to my seat, my team mates congrats me on my interesting performance and Someone from grp 9 told me it was the best solo presentation so far =D
Well I wrote so much about it is to remind me that since I managed to go through an OC nite dance, be ADWO I.C. for a day and giving a fun solo presentation in front of the entire AFS without any stage fright then I have reached a certain level =D

Well I havn't finish my research on Ivanka yet. Nevertheless that aside, on friday me and daniel went 2 play b-ball (yay I can shoot 3 -pt already) and soccer for 2 hrs and he said that my skills actually improved since I could dribble past him so much (without ramming the ball at all) and score with my LEFT leg lols (and after that I beat him at penalties 2 XD). me chet and daniel went out yesterday for dinner and to shop for Shihui's present =D
Can't type so much. Chet is waiting for me now to go meet shihui and dan at downtown. bye.

In case you all have not known, I have been offered a place in CBS (curtin biz sch). But since I have until like next year to accept it, I feel like taking SAT or maybe SAT and re-A'levels next year cuz I want to get into Wharton Biz Sch (US, Penn). I am so undecided and thus I shall go to sleep now and wake up to watch soccer later. Maybe if Russia beat Spain later I will go decide to take both tests XD

I shall do further research on my media eye-candy, darling, idol tml and come up with a post soon =D

Basically I will be handling the Mistral and the IGLA. The 1st picture is of the IGLA. It works on a "fire -and-forget" system and can be fired to land or air targets. The 2nd picture is of the Mistral which I suppose its homing due to 95% strike rate.

My I.C. for 18-DA is Kenneth Lim my sec sch sec 1&2 classmate coincidentally.

Segt told us we sit in land rover while segt drives us to target where we disbark and set up our missles.

Segt also told us that we, the air force, have no route marches or SOCs =D

And we are the 2nd line of defence behind the commandos.

Day 1 : I start my day as the Air Def Wpn Opr's IC and marched 43 ppl around XD

Day 1 at Air force sch. It was EXTREMELY slack as we the AIR DEF WPN OPR ppl were gonna be posted to our respective camps after air force sch. Thus when the AOS(Pes C) and Air Force Tech( also Pes C or phy unfit) were trying out n.o.3 uniforms and filling up admin stuff, we the ADWO( the only PES A and B) just slacked around. We literally spent almost the ENTIRE day in the Auditorium so much that I almost thought I was in Golden Village cinema. The only time we went out to march was when we had canteen breaks or toilet breaks or just to get out of the audi cuz we are feeling too cold =D

Nevertheless we all know that Air force sch is paradise b4 we get posted to our camps XD

We had some NTUC income insurance talk today and I have gotta say that the salesgirl Adel was chio =)

Other than that I was the IC for ADWO and marched 43 ppl around for breaks XD

Upon reaching home, I saw Joanne Chia , the policewomen who works at Pasir ris police post front desk. She was at White sands in her uniform talking. And thats the 2nd chio gal I saw today XD

To end off, I watched The apprentice last night b4 I went to sleep. Just wanna say that Ivanka Trump is my latest media darling =D

Seeing mediacorp superstars in Pasir Ris on my last day b4 Air Force Sch =D

Hey today is the last day of my civilian life b4 I enter Air Force Sch. On friday I went to my BMTC Zulu Coy platoon 4's last meeting at pasir ris park for a BBQ. Then during the weekends I went to meet up with my cousins and frens. 2day when I went with chet to Elias Mac to have lunch we saw Mediacorp artists Priscilia Chan and her actor husband Alan Tern =D OMG i was stunned for a while.
Later chet told me that Priscilia lived at block 63 something in Pasir Ris. I was stunned again.
Thats good that Pasir Ris is home to a superstar =D

Ok now let me speculate, guess, envision what my Air force vocation would be like:

Arty drills will only be Air attack
We don't throw grenades, only high flares or fireworks
Breakfast, Lunch and dinner served by SIA
IPPT 2.4km is run around airport runway
Route march is march from changi terminal 1 to 2 to 3 to budget terminal then to paya lebar air base
Navigation exercise is stay in control tower and direct planes/ weapon fire.
Training is play xbox or com games cuz we aint really allowed to shoot planes down
When we, air force do live firing, army and navy have to cease fire cuz they scared ppl shoot down our planes.
Live firing is shooting flying birds
During fire movement, we say :" 10km above, enemy behind cloud, just next to the sun, wind speed, enemy flying apeed and altitude are..."
Misfire and hit any plane = yr spore n.o. 1 terrorist
Urban Ops in airport budget terminal

clean arms in swimming pool cuz our weapon/missiles too big

My Winning Goal @ Hwa Chong JC =D

This morning I went to Hwa Chong JC to play a 5 on 5 street soccer match with my fellow platoon mates. Wenjie being a Hwa Chong alumni booked the court. Although I made my way from Pasir Ris to Newton and then hopped onto bus 171 as part of my long journey there, the time was worth it as I grabbed the winning goal to make the score of 5:4. This group of 10 people were not soccer noobs as I presumed them to be kicking 'kampung soccer' . They were dribble pros, MJC and CJC soccer players, long-range freekick shooters ... etc...

I realised that although my soccer skills are not as good as my opponents I have played with throughout my life, I have some kind of good charm that allows me to be at the right place at the right time.

It was Hwa Chong JC's JC2 block test day so almost the entire sch was studying. I hope we did not disturb them but provided them with some form of entertainment =D

Thanks Wenjie for booking the court. HCJC rocks (cuz its freaking big). But most importantly the gals there are quite good looking anyway.

POP LOH !

Just had my passing out parade 2day. Didn't upload much pics because I just came home and havn't gotten them yet. The rest of the pics were with my platoon mates =)

The 1st pic is with Yee Yan the president of AJC student council. He taught me dance during OC night and hes gonna go study in Perth too @ UWA. I might meet him again sooner than expected. Forgot 2 ask him intro me to some AJC gals hahas =)

The 3rd pic is Benjamin's personal farewell message to me. Since hes my other dance instructor for OC night, hes encouraging me to pick up dance in uni. Sure Ben I will when I get into Curtin university =) All the best for Ben in NUS FASS. Ben's a real good guy who teaches spastic/ retarded (this is not a joke) kids dance at Rainbow centres. This ACJC guy sure has a good heart=)

We did a lot during POP. We taupok the CO wth. We slammed and rubbed Segt DQ, Officer Redhuwan and Platoon Segt Mark's private part into the lamppost and a tree. Wth we almost went crazy. Howe Win was not spared too. He was taupoked for throwing a blind (unexploded grenade). We went crazy infront of parents and girlfrens wth.

As for games day I helped Zulu Company win 2nd for my Silver Surfer event. Just happy that I played my part for my platoon and my company =)

The main attraction was the tug of war finals between Cougar and Falcon which Falcon won. Kestrel Company won games day with Quebec in second but what matters is the fun and enjoyment we had at Ladang Stadium. Zulu company I would say was having great bonding =)

Sry to ruin the atmosphere a little but I would like to send my condolences to the parents of the recuit of Bronco Company who passed away. It was unfortunate that he just enlisted and died during a 2km walk at the 1.2 km mark. We heard tat his parents plan to sell the house to pay for his funeral so Zulu Company conducted a donation 2day. Feel realli sad for his parents cuz I also heard tat he may be their onli son as they are not so well-off.

To end off on a happy note, Segt DQ rmb me for the route marches we had and Segt Amir rmb me for girls WTH. Anyway I was gald that Corporal Ong, Segt Amir and Paltoon segt Mark came back for our POP even as they had already ORD-ed =)

Wat I think of them : They need to grow up more and be more mature and 'sa ciao' less. Basically I think act cute gals are actually cute hahas =D except for some... but that is secondary sch days era...

Girls who think that acting uncute is the new cute. Most likely to put up unglam faces during neoprints wat we call 'gui lian'. During buffet they are most likely to stuff up all the food asap and look like er bullfrog? Can be quite act cute also.
Comments: I hate acting uncute argh. Its fun but it will most likely make one look stupid if she does that all the time. Liddat even the White witch of Narnia is cuter can.

Girls who walk around looking like divas. Like Jolin Tsai look-a-like, Marylin Moure? Likes to dress extragravantly and maybe colourfully. Put up thick make-up and go around saying mirror mirror on the wall , who is the hottest of them all. Usually tie their hair in jap style with dyed golden colours and wearing big belts and boots everytime they go out.
Comments: Siao. Liddat I will see barbie dolls walking on the streets everywhere. Will kena shocked de lor. Like everywhere will be Jolins and Ayumis and Britneys. wth.

Girls who advertise themselves online.
Comments: Its like saying pls add me on my 24th friendster profile because my 23 profiles all full of frens le. Although the gal in the pic is cute, shes like too open liao can. Btw I didnt change anything from the picture. The name age and email of her is true. Go check it out if you like.
Girls with the nice studious look. The gal-next door who you prob see at remedial class or tuition. Probably so smart that every time you meet she asks you about maths bio chem gp phy and every other thing in sch. Most likely bespectacled and walks around with lecture notes and a sweater carrying mind maps and 2 calculators. You prob wont see her in the canteen because she belongs to the library or study corner. During PE lessons she will probably have menstrual cramps or internal bleeding or body ache or feel faint so she prob dunno wat you all do during PE. Forget asking her about sports or serials, she watches 'the arena' on channel 5 and prob news 5 tonite and discovery channel.

I watched the first 2 Euro 2008 matches at my cousin's house and here are my comments:

Czech Rep [ looked like the losing team throughout the match. If its not for their goalkeeper and a bit of luck, they cold actually be trashed. It was a lucky win.]
Switzerland [Nice ball control and nice efforts. They had a lot of shots on goal but were unlucky not to convert their chances. Looked like the winning side instead.]
Portugal [ Played very fast paced with good possession. A lot of long balls and attack. A very interesting match which portugal class outshone the Turks who were trying to keep up the pace]
Turkey [Played very fast paced too but were shocked by the masterclass of the portugese.]

Finally after 8 weeks of BMT its POP yay. This is the just released pics of my BMT experience with Zulu Company. Through this period of time I have got to mix around with different people and have witnessed 2 of my segts (Amir and Mark) ORD. My present Platoon segt is Clifford who replaces mark. My platoon mates likes to power, camo, deep-heat rub ppl during their free time as part of their sabo/tekan session they call FIBUA (Fighting In Built Up Areas). Loved the urban warfare =D

My report card:

passed M16 technical handling [and got high fever after my pass]

passed swimming [I am a lifeguard de!]

passed field camp [fun but tough outfield becuz I didn't shit for 5 days]

passed Basic Innoculation Course [I hate leopard crawl cuz theres a lot of sand flying around]

passed live firing [I dunno why I am better at night shoot than day shoot-maybe becuz of tracer rounds =D]

passed live grenade [I was more afraid of dropping the grenade lols]

passed IPPT [Silver yeah]

passed SIT test [passed my mission which requires harnessing ppl from cliffs so I used my rock-climbing skills to tie knots and belay ppl =P]

passed Basic Assault Course [Segt DQ made me go into his lane which is all mud argh. So much for his friendly gesture to call me to go his lane]

passed 24 click route march [I am impressed my myself actually cuz I wasnt shag out at all at 2am]

failed SOC [na who cares. like 3/4 of my company failed anyway and I was like behind my 'platoon best'-to-be rec anyway. And SOC is not counted for BMT anyway.]

I will be seeing some of my friends in Australia Perth if i get there. One of them is my dance instructor for OC night Yee Yan =D

Well basically this will be a short post because I will head back to camp at 1845 hrs soon. During this short time I managed to dig out some pics of my JC class above which I thought I lost them. Realli miss my frens in my civilian life. Anyway on the bright side I left 24 click route march, BAC, SOC to the end of BMT.

My POP is on the 11 of June yay =)

Btw during my 16 click route march we saw Eagle company(who marched so slowly in front of us that we almost stopped) , Jaguar( who overtook us and rahman and henry waved to me lol) , Qubec ( chun kit's company left for an early march) and Kestrel (who had dinner with us at rocky hill parade square).

The most challenging route march is coming up for us this coming tuesday where we march at night =) 24 km !

Btw I said YES to command sch and I hoped that my SIT test did well enough to qualify. I was a LAW gunner for sit test hahas.

The reason I booked out late on sat is because we had blinds during life grenade :X

To end off this post I did a STEP UP DANCE during OC NITE. 5 of us represented platoon 4 to dance on stage hip hop hahas. It was pretty cool learning dance moves =)

Well I went to the Australian University Open Day today at Orchard Hotel. Went to see all the different Australian Universities there. The lecturer at Curtin University said that with my A'level results I should get into CURTIN BUSINESS SCHOOL which is actually quite famous in Australia like how NTU business is famous in Singapore. Their minimum score is 6 and my score is 6. The lecturer said that since the score is very highly unlikely to fluctuate in the next year or so, I should secure a place in Curtin University in 2010. Btw curtin biz sch grads have 100% employment rates. To add on, Curtin Uni has 75% foreigners in their uni. So cosmopolitan hahas.

[Decision time]

1st choice: Curtin Biz sch Bachelor of Commerce (min 6 points)

2nd choice: Curtin Bachelor of Mass Communications (min 5 points)

[Conclusion =)]

Since the min scores is very unlikely to fluctuate, its almost confirmed that I will get into Curtin Uni to Commerce or mass communications.

Btw I felt like I was in the boardroom of "the apprentice" when I talked to that lecturer. It was kinda stressing. Its like talking to an Israeli guy in a suit with a slang and a knack for biz hahas.

Ok tats all. To conclude I must note that I have SIT test, SOC evaluation and live grenade throwing next week so its a saturday book-out =)

Well last week b4 book-in I had no time to update what me, chun cheung, chet, alvin, sammy and eugene did in the morning so I shall update now.

1) Reverie at 1130 hours as I was woken up by chun cheung's call.

2) Went to arcade and played a few games. I won the 4 player daytona match btw. Just happen to speed (and drift actually) past chun cheung and daniel who were crashing each other in front of the finishing line. Don't play daytona with those 2. So childish. Why start fighting and knocking each other in front of the finishing line and let me(in 3rd place) speed past and win?!

3) Chet and chun cheung beat the hi-score in arcade basketball. Well done. Tats probably the least childish (and funny) thing they have done all day. We played some world combat too and I managed a corproal rank b4 I died.

4) Went to eat at nebo restaurant. The chio girl there asked me if we were from TPJC. Well I said I was and tat the rest were from MJC. As a result of that she gave us discounted member price for the fast food OMG. Somemore she exchanged the colestraw for more fries on her own accord because they had no salad left. SO COOL sia. She has great taste like me. Maybe we all hate colestraw after all. Hahas its almost as if she could read our minds (or maybe just my mind). Next time when any of you go there please say yr from TPJC. And pls at LEAST look as shuai as me so the chio gal from tpjc can give you the benefits. hahas.

5) Went bowling and met Eugene there. Sammy went home and Alvin sister came and joined us. Chun cheung was as funny as usual hahas-dropping the bowling ball omg.

6) Book-in at around 6pm. sian.

MANCHESTER UNITED WON EPL AND CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. =) yay

I Have Planned My Life

I am gonna aim for University of Sydney, New South Wales , Curtin and Monash first next weekend at the Australia Uni open day. Maybe Murdoch, James Cook, Macquarie, Queensland or Australia National Uni I might apply also.

I dun look as stressed as I do but I am seriously stressed at this point of time. Just trying to be optimistic and plan every step carefully so I dun regret later =)

Hi I just survived field camp. It was kinda tough too. Heres an outlook of wat we did.

Day 1: 8km March to oil palm plantation, set up basha tent , some combat discipline lessons

Day 2: Combat lessons

Day 3:Combat lessons and Urban Operations + night combat test

Day 4: Marched past reclaimed land, past rubber plantation and back to oil palm because they say Viper company stole our reclaimed land campsite. Dug our f***ing shellscrape/ grave until we almost died.

Day 5:Combat Operations and Urban warfare test which we passed

Day 6: F***ing Enemy attacked our campsite at 4.45am with thunderflashes + Battle Inculation course test and back to our 5th floor Zulu Penthouse.

When we are back in camp Segt Mark went emo totally and started kicking bags and pumping us like F***.

Finally I am back in S'pore mainland on friday nite. I have commanders appraisal to do, fill up donation card, design company shirt and practice recuit nights dance in the upcoming weeks.

And I also realised that Man United won the EPL and its david archuleta VS david cook in the american idol 7 final. hahas you wont know anything in camp.

Parents told me they want to send me to Australia to persue degree. I have already started researching australian universities via internet and some notes my father gave me. Next sat and sunday I am going for Australian uni open day and register my applicatons with some of the universities there.

Oh btw to chun cheung if yr reading this have a good 1 year in Brunei for your attachment. Heard theres only a small town with starbucks and coffee bean there. Nevertheless enjoy yr 1 year stay there.

Exploring the new E!hub + some chio gal studying with my sec sch fren Joanne

Well me, chet and daniel went exploring the new E!hub yesterday. Theres a lot of entertainment venues and food outlets. Theres almost no shopping venues so dun come here for shopping. Entertainment wise theres a Cathay cineplex , bowling alley (it measures the speed of the ball when you bowl lol), pool, ferris wheel, explorer kid and even a kbox coming up.

Me and frens went to catch Ironman which was quite nice actually.

Thereafter we went to eat Pastamania before chet's book-in. At Pastamania I saw this chio gal sitting with her fren studying at Pastamania (Poly students) outside seats. I happened to loook at her and she glanced back for a few seconds. Then I told chet that we should eat at the outside seats near them cuz the gal in black pullover was really chio (you know like future wife material). Then all of a sudden while we were eating someboys said Hi to chet, me and daniel. OMG it was our sec sch classmate Joanne. Joanne was sitting beside that chio gal studying OMG and I didnt even notice her lol (cuz the chio gal was on my mind lol).

OMG at that point of tiime I realised they were studying Biomedical sci at singapore poly - a course that I had gotten into b4 I appealed to tampinies jc. If I had not turned down SP and not appealed into tpjc I would have been frens with that chio gal dammit.

OMG I am regretting my decision 2 years ago not to go SP and meet that gal. Haiz !

After my field camp chet, me xiang ling and joanne (another joanne from poly) must go club lol. Chet says xiang ling dances really well hahas. I think gals like xiang ling can get really smooth on the dance floor hahas.

Ball of a time

Hi I am back from camp again. This time I have a long holiday till sunday. Next week is my field camp which means no book-out. Sad.

During book-out my platoon's Bobby has a chio JJC gal waiting for him at discovery centre bus-stop. Dunno why at that time I suddenly feel so sad haiz. Since book-out everytime I see JC gals I feel a sense of deva ju lols.

After I booked-out last evening, I went to Daniel's house to play soccer and some basketball. We trained on freekicks and some dribbling past defenders. I scored goals which is 99% similar to what paul scholes of manchester united scored against barcalona on wed morning - a midfield ball flying and hitting the post before it went in. Then after that I went home and watched kung-fu basketball by Jay chou. Watching with english subtitles is really enriching hahas.

Hi I am back from camp after confinement. Well actually I was sent back on this tues and had to return on thurs because I had a high fever in camp. The Medical officer told me to take 3 days leave and stay at home after giving me an IV Drip. So I didnt go out that 3 days in case I get charged. Furthermore with a fever like 39.3 where can I go lol.

Then finally on friday evening I booked out with the rest of my company mates hahas. Its a huge relief really. ok, more about my camp life:

And when I booked out I went bowling with frens at marina square. we wernt pro but theres a group of koreans/jap guys and gals there that were pretty professional and interesting to watch.
